When doctors were being forced to leave the state because of high malpractice premiums, Delbert Scott led in passing meaningful litigation reform for Missouri's citizens. When confidence in Missouri's elections were at an all time low, he led the way with the Missouri Voter Protection Act. When marriage was being threatened by the nation's courts, he cosponsored the Marriage Amendment When farmers and small businesses needed capital to hire additional employees, he passed the Linked Deposit Loan Program

Delbert Scott, Deep Roots in the District...
A fifth generation rural Missourian, Delbert Scott grew up in the small town of Lowry City, worked on the family farm, and worked as a carpenter through college. A graduate of Missouri State University with a degree in education, he taught school for 4 years before returning home to join the family hardware and home furnishing business. As part-owner and manager of the business today, he understands the need for good jobs, vibrant small towns and profitable farms.

Delbert Scott and his wife of 36 years, Donna, live in Lowry City. They have three grown children, Todd & Kelly Scott, Timothy, and Derek & Tiffany Bond and two grandsons, Landen and Clay.
